87 metre bridge connects two villages

In the Turkish province of Erzincan, two villages are reconnected thanks to a new suspension bridge.

In the Turkish province of Erzincan, the inhabitants of two villages can finally visit each other again after the only connecting bridge over the river collapsed.

Under extremely adverse weather conditions, the new bridge could be spanned over the Tercan reservoir in just 30 days. The 2.25 metre wide running surface of the bridge is covered with extremely weather-resistant African hardwood.

HUCK nets are used to secure the sides of the bridge.
